Managing workload is an ever evolving skill. No matter what and how the environment, demands, and capabilities change - discipline remains at the core of effectively managing my workload. Knowing limits, boundaries and having the ability to say NO are very important to ensuring I manage my workload accordingly. These start with setting clear objectives, deliverables, measures, priorities and timelines. I use a variety of project/task management tools to stay organized. I have also incorporated my own continuous learning/development into a project type of setup so I continue to have 'deliverables' to ensure I have dedicated time for this space.
