Hi! When it comes to securing your first role within this space one thing I would recommend would be to build up a portfolio of projects that you can demonstrate and point to. Using something like github is a great way to make this accessible and visible to anyone that you would be applying with. Your background and experience in the vet space should also never be forgotten! I am going to assume that you have a wealth of expertise from this part of your career. Using that expertise alongside your developing data science skillset is something that many different organizations would find appealing - especially within mars.
