As a vendor master data champion, how would you describe a typical day in this role? Is it data analyst?

Hello, great question. A typical day in my role is atypical! I have the great pleasure to consistently be challenged with new and highly varied business problems to solve. These come from a variety of larger long term focused projects shaped by design thinking to get to the users true ask. Projects like this are structured and will have daily scrums. Other requests may come in that require quicker responses and insights which keep me and my team on their toes. There is a great blend of thinking, learning, and doing incorporated into EVERY day. There are elements of what I and my team do that are analyst like, BUT we ensure that the projects we work on maximize our skill sets and that means the application of advanced analytics approaches. This covers a huge spectrum such as frequentist and Bayesian statistical approaches, machine learning, and the data engineering to bring it all together in deployable products for our customers and end users.
