How is this company promoting diversity?

Thank you for your question - here at Mars we say 'in the world we want tomorrow, society is inclusive and diverse' which I think is great! I&D is a key priority for Waltham Petcare Science Institute and across Mars, and lots of effort is put into accelerating our commitment in I&D, both in our workplaces and communities. We don't just focus on one area of I&D. Across Mars there is many different groups (ARGs - associate/employee resource groups) in areas including mental health, parents and carers, generations (age) and many more! These groups help lead conversations on I&D and subsequent change. We have a drive towards gender diversity and at Waltham our leadership team is evenly split, with it being headed by a woman! Mars encourages the use of pronouns and we often have talks from associates and guest speakers on broad topics such as making workplaces disability friendly or more specific ones such as understanding dementia. At Waltham we also run our own events to encourage people to talk and learn about different I&D topics, such as celebrating PRIDE week and also different religious celebrations like Diwali!
