What is a typical day like for a Communication Scientist?

Hi Helena, my role is really varied, and I get to work alongside a wide range of people, on lots of different products and brands. For example, I regularly work with Product Developers and Scientists in order to create communications for our technologies. I also work with pet nutrition and behavioural scientists to help understand how we can communicate the science behind our products (& sometimes I like to go into the kitchen and factory, and see first hand how our products are made!). I then have the opportunity to share these communications with associates in Marketing to understand how we can use this information to help us sell our products. I also work with consumer research agencies to run pieces of research to understand consumer perceptions of new products, and therefore sometimes I have the opportunity to interact with consumers. As I work in a global team, I will often have video conferences with associates in many different countries across the world. One of my favourite parts of my job is bringing my dog into the office and taking him for a walk around our nature trail at lunchtime!!
