Tell me why you wanted to work here?

There were a number of things to be honest! I had decided the time was right to move on from where I worked before but I was frustrated when reading job descriptions that nowhere included the salary band. Mars did and so I knew that it was in the right ballpark for what I was looking for, that was a good first tick- transparency in the recruitment process. I did my due diligence on Mars as a company and loved what I read, both on the website and on places like Glassdoor. A lot of places tend to have some sort of framework for how people should behave at work but the Five Principles is the best version of that I have come across. From the moment I got there for my first interview, I was totally sold that this was the right place for me. I loved the idea of bringing my dog to work with me & I loved that even if he was not there, there were always dogs around. And finally, it just sounded like a place that wanted to develop people. I wanted to work for somewhere forward thinking and where I could plan my own future. I have had lots of opportunities to do that so far and not a moment of regret!
